APK Warm-Up 2


Working towards better pushing strength.


The Push-Up and the Dip are the main bodyweight exercies to build pushing strength.

If you can perform 10-12 push-ups and/or dips at FULL range of motion (meaning chest all the way down to touching the ground or wall, and all the way up at the top), then start to isolate one arm at a time to make each repetition more difficult. This is easy to do by simply leaning over to one side or the other, followed by leaning to one side and then reaching farther out away with the other hand.

Find a difficultly level that makes 5 reps seem hard to perform. Then do 5 sets with plenty of rest (2-4 minutes) between.
